Interduvet Yarns > Jan 2007 (self release) >

Most of Hybernation's early work was made during the winter months as he tried to keep out the cold. The feel and temperature of the songs, as well as his name reflect this. But for this EP, the songs are about staying in bed, with another, to keep warm. Together with the toasty inside of the bed covers is the cold harshness of the outside and to explore this contrast, most of the beats are made using sound samples taken from warehousing, industrial and domestic environments and together with the warm lushness of the synths, chimes and other sounds creates a feel that is snug yet attentive.

The yarns themselves are poems written and recorded by Jo Overfield (Sundown). A remix comes courtesy of Simon Smith (Reason or Romanza) and artwork by Damien Robinson.
