tw12 > 4th March @ The Sun Rooms > Southend-on-Sea > Essex > 18:30 > 22:30

In March we have a formidable line up. We play host to 2 acts from the Rednetic Recordings stable. First up we have Sunosis (see more below) who is playing as part of his album launch tour, and secondly will be Rednetic main man Zainetica, both playing their own special blend of electronica, that Rednetics is fast becoming renowned for. We also look forward to Isnaj Dui, who will enchant us with her lush layers of experimental scapetronica. Also this month is the return of the fantastic dj skills of Rob Gretton, after his too long an absence, and also Paul G who rocked the dance floor on our New Years Eve party. VJ Mokital adds the gloss to an already shiny photo with his brilliant visuals. All in all, a top notch line up packed full of healthy goodness. A bargain, especially as the entry is still FREE. Doors open at 6:30pm.

Sunosis >
Sunosis's musical career started at the tender age of 14, when he would engage in such behaviour as re-programming his elder brother's ZX Spectrum into a primitive sequencer. Such wayward conduct would eventually lead to a degree in fine art and the onset of much more audio-visual mischief. A musical maverick, Col naturally progressed into club décor and visuals, eventually organising his own series of techno nights in the Midlands. He now co-owns Ginglik, west London's premier suburban beat bunker, which has established a reputation as one of the finest alternative venues in the capital.

Warmed
Fresh like the morning due. Timeless like rain droplets in the autumnal sunlight.
In these winter months we all need something to Warm us a little, and there’s nothing better than crunching, hissing, fragmented beats and layers of slithery, crisp melodies to remind us of the beauty of Autumn and infuse us with the essence of that deep orange sun. This sublimely crafted timeless electronica comes in three packaging options, the basic sleeve like other recent Rednetic releases, a textured card wallet and a handmade canvas wallet for that extra special autumnal experience.

"Beguiling and well-crafted electronica which will have fans of Minotaur Shock and Four Tet beaming with joy.... a warm brand of acid-tinged electronica which makes for a compelling horizontal listening experience." tunetribe.com

Isnaj Dui >

Since the debut release in March 2005, Isnaj Dui has been busy on the live circuit, provoking much interest from fellow experimental electronica artists for her unique blend of acoustic instruments and electronically manipulated effects. With numerous appearances at Disco_r.dance, Multivitamins and various other electronica nights alongside many sessions on Resonance 104.4fm, Isnaj Dui has built up a strong following.
Concert and bass flutes are used alongside an effects and looping device as well as home made instruments including the electrodulcimer, a stringed instrument devised by Isnaj Dui to create a unique and versatile sound.
The overall recording process is very much designed to keep the feeling of a live performance, multitracked instruments recorded in one take wherever possible to create a feeling of spontanaeity. Instruments are looped live and short samples created on the spot.
The two FBox releases are soon to be joined by an EP on Smallfish Records in 2007 and the track DulcImprov was included on Disco_r.dance Volume 1 in November 2006. Catoctin from the Sequence EP appeared on the Wire Tapper 15 in June 2006. ISNAJ DUI of FBox records is an accomplished flautist and electronic composer / producer, and a track from her 'Sequence' EP was recently featured on a compilation by the Wire magazine.
