Vizier Of Damascus is Arfan Ezra Munir Rai. He is not your usual electronic head. Born in London with family roots in Arabia, Samarkand and the southern foothold of the Himalayas, Arfan is currently a Sound Artist and lecturer in Philosophy & Religion in London.
He covers a wide spectrum of tones and textures with each record, evoking at times the hustle and bustle of urban life and the more peaceful and pastoral pace of his roots. Expect panoramic acoustics, penetrative melancholy, cryptically driven percussion and mystical melodies.
